Apex are James Frith and Lisa Whitmore, a duo based in Bristol UK. They specialize in acrobatics and aerial skills, with various acts in each discipline.

Jamie attended Cambridge University, where he read mathematics. From there, he started work in an invesment bank, but decided that the city was not for him. Having been part of a dance group, he decided that he would like to perform and so he left to train at Circomedia; specializing in acrobatics and aerial skills. He has since worked with Lisa in both areas.

Lisa, having started gymnastics at the age of six, joined Circomedia after university. Here she was able to continue her love for sports acrobatics and discover aerial skills from which she decided doing handstands and playing on a trapeze was the life for her.

They have both trained at Circomedia in Bristol and Polichinelo's acrobatic course in Sheffield. They currently also perform with Above and Beyond, an aerial company.

As a duo they have performed at various events including the Ashes test match at Lord's Cricket Ground, Glastonbury Festival, and the Lord Mayor's Parade in London. They represented BP at the Istanbul Auto Expo, and have also appeared in corporate videos. They headlined the Coca-Cola Active Festival in Israel as members of Above and Beyond

Individually, they have performed around the world, appearing most recently in Dubai, Istanbul and Krakow
